My stay at Marriott's Waikoloa Ocean Club was overall pretty good, with a fantastic location near a beautiful beach and nice pools. However, I found the room lacking in terms of amenities like a full kitchen, which made meal prep a bit challenging. While the staff was friendly and accommodating, the absence of functional kitchen facilities and the noise from the dishwasher were a bummer.

Rooms
7.0
I stayed in a two-bedroom unit, which was spacious with a king bed in the master and two queens in the second room. The lack of a full kitchen was a downside, and the dishwasher was pretty noisy.
Service
8.0
The staff was super friendly and tried to help with any issues, even though they couldn't do much about the room situation.
Location

The location was awesome! Close to beautiful white sand beaches, and the Kings and Queens Marketplaces were just a short walk away.
Dining

I loved the breakfast options at the Island Gourmet store. The coffee shop in the lobby also had some great breakfast sandwiches.
Facilities

The facilities were nice, especially the pools, but I noticed some maintenance issues with the washer/dryer units that left my clothes smelling musty.

I had a relaxing stay at Marriott's Waikoloa Ocean Club. The staff was really friendly, and the oceanfront view from my room was beautiful. However, the air conditioning units were super loud, which disrupted my sleep. Overall, it was a nice getaway, but there were a few drawbacks.

The room was spacious with a huge kitchen and a great ocean view, but the air conditioning was really loud.
Service

Check-in was smooth and the bell service was great, but some staff seemed unsure about pool policies.

The resort's location is lovely, about 18 miles from the airport, making for a scenic drive with views of volcanic terrain.
Dining

I discovered the dining options a day later, but they offered decent food options which made dining convenient on site.
Facilities

There were plenty of activities like kayaking and poolside service, but no clear directions at check-in for these amenities.

My stay at Marriott's Waikoloa Ocean Club had its ups and downs. While the grounds were beautiful and offered beach access, the service could get quite slow, and the food didn’t live up to expectations. I ended up having to switch rooms due to several issues, but the new accommodation was much better. Overall, the lack of attention to detail and cleanliness really stood out.

Rooms
5.0
My initial room had water damage and noisy neighbors, but the second room was a welcome upgrade with a better view.
Service
5.0
Service at the restaurant and pool area was often slow. I had to wait a long time for assistance, which was frustrating.
Location

The hotel is conveniently close to shops and restaurants, making it easy to explore the area.
Dining

While the dining options were available, I found the food to be overpriced and mediocre.

The pool area was nice but understaffed, and I struggled with towel availability during my stay.

6.2/10

I had a nice stay at Marriott's Waikoloa Ocean Club overall, but there were some things that definitely need work. The hotel itself is gorgeous, and the amenities like the water bottles and towel system were great touches. However, my room had some issues like noisy appliances and uncomfortable bedding that brought my experience down a notch.

Rooms
5.0
The one-bedroom villa had a kitchenette but was too cramped for cooking. The small refrigerator was handy, but the noisy dishwasher and musty washer/dryer combo were a letdown. Also, the sheets didn't fit properly, which made sleeping uncomfortable.
Service
8.0
Overall, the staff was friendly and helpful, which made for a warm atmosphere during my stay.
Location
9.0
The resort is situated in a beautiful area, close to the beach and local attractions, making it a great spot for relaxing and exploring.
Dining
7.0
The bar had some tasty drinks, but they were quite pricey. Snacks and meals were more affordable when I kept some items in my in-room fridge.
Facilities
6.0
The pools were clean and well-maintained, but having just a few grills outside made it hard to cook as a group, especially when they were busy.

My stay at Marriott's Waikoloa Ocean Club was mostly enjoyable. The resort has a laid-back vibe, and the spacious public areas provided beautiful ocean views. However, the pool area occasionally ran out of towels, which was quite frustrating. Overall, the positive aspects of the stay outweighed a few small issues, making for a relaxing vacation. 🌊

Rooms

I had a nicely appointed one-bedroom unit, complete with two balconies. While the kitchen was somewhat limited and the bathroom felt a bit dated, the beds and bedding were incredibly comfortable.
Service
6.0
The service had its ups and downs. While the bell staff was helpful, I was disappointed by the shortage of towels at the pool and the lack of response from the safety staff regarding my fall. Improvements in these areas would be beneficial.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic, with the ocean a short walk across a lagoon. I appreciated the accessibility of shops and restaurants nearby, which made exploring easy.
Dining
7.0
I didn’t dine extensively but noticed the casual dining options were nearby. The vibe was relaxed, perfect for families. I would have loved to try the baby back ribs!
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were well-kept, but I did notice the pool area lacked adequate shade, which made it uncomfortable during peak sun hours.
